Since 1992, Lisa Oberg has been recognized for her ability to bring beginning hunt seat riders to advanced levels of competence. Her students have won championships at MHJA, HJAM, and USEF horse shows in the hunter, jumper, and pony rings. Lisa has had many winning rides showing green hunters, as well as her own jumper, "Teacher's Pet." In 2006 Lisa left her position as the Director of Riding at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club to start Vantage Point Farm.
Lisa enjoys giving new riders and young horses a strong foundation in the basics. Safety is her number one concern. Lisa's riders learn to set and meet their own performance goals, to be considerate of their mounts, and to know the joy of riding.
Lisa judges local horse shows throughout the midwest and has managed MHJA and schooling shows. She is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she rode for the MSU Equestrian Team and competed at the IHSA National Equitation Finals held at Colorado State.
